ClickZ reported a week ago, based on information from AOL, that the company intended to phase out its enhanced whitelist, pushing email marketers to adopt a new certification system from Goodmail.

Under pressure from marketers concerned about extra mailing costs AOL has backed off, and will now offer the Goodmail service as an additional option and retain the whitelist indefinitely.
